Privacy notice
Last updated 1 November 2026.
This notice explains how personal data is handled on keepminute.com and in the KeepMinute app. It is written to meet the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the EU GDPR.
Who is responsible
The data controller is James Doyle, the author of KeepMinute. You can reach him at hello@keepminute.com.
Launch email list
When you join the launch list we collect your email address. We use it to tell you when KeepMinute goes on sale and to send occasional product news. The lawful basis is your consent. The list is held with Resend, our email provider, which processes it on our behalf. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any email, or by writing to hello@keepminute.com, and we will remove your address.
Hosting and security
This site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and keep the site secure, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, and keeps short-lived security logs. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website. The site uses no analytics and no advertising trackers.
Buying KeepMinute
Lemon Squeezy sells KeepMinute as merchant of record. It collects your name, email, billing country and payment details and handles them under the Lemon Squeezy privacy policy. Lemon Squeezy shares your name, email and order details with us so we can deliver your licence and help with support. We keep these records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting.
The KeepMinute app
KeepMinute runs on your own PC. Recordings, transcripts, notes and settings are stored in a folder you choose. They are sent only to services you connect yourself, such as your AI provider, Microsoft or Google for your calendar, and Notion. Each of those services handles data under its own privacy policy. When you activate the app, your licence key is checked with Lemon Squeezy.
International transfers
Resend, Cloudflare and Lemon Squeezy may process data outside the UK and EU. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK and EU law, such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to correct it, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email hello@keepminute.com and we will reply within one month.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or, in the EU, to the data protection authority where you live.
Recording other people
When you record a meeting, you are responsible for telling the other people and getting any consent the law requires.
Changes
We will post any changes to this notice on this page and update the date at the top.
